<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood pump driver which can control the total stroke volume of the diaphragm of the blood pump to a fixed value without getting the motion of patients restricted. <P>SOLUTION: The total stroke volume of the diaphragm 11 of the blood pump 10 is calculated from the variance of the capacity of the second sealed air chamber made up of a gas compartment 52 of a separation chamber 50 and a fluid drive chamber 13 of the blood pump 10 while the blood chamber 12 of the blood pump 10 is filled with the blood to the full capacity when the output in the reversion of a motor 22 for an oil pump 20 begins to lower during each suction period. The diaphragm 11 of the blood pump 10 is positioned at a location where it is in contact with the wall surface of the blood pump 10 on the side of the separation chamber 50 thereby holding the absolute position of the diaphragm 11 of the blood pump 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
