<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric vibrator which can greatly shorten the heat treatment working time for differentiating or reversing the polarization direction, and which can also greatly reduce the working costs, and to provide a vibration gyroscope, using the piezoelectric vibrator and electronic equipment which uses the vibration gyroscope. <P>SOLUTION: In the piezoelectric vibrator 1, a plurality of interdigital electrodes 3 and 4 are formed on at least one surface 2a of the vibrating body 2, consisting of a piezoelectric single crystal which is polarized in a direction parallel to the surface 2a. A part 2b of the surface region of the vibrating body 2, positioned between the interdigital electrodes 3 and 4, is polarized in a direction that is different from or is reversed to the polarization direction X of the vibrating body 2 itself, namely in the direction of the polarization reverse direction Y.
