PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner supply roll that is free from defects in a copy image. SOLUTION: In the toner supply roll, a urethane foam layer 2 is formed on the external circular face of a shaft 1. Stress F<SB>0</SB>at the depth of 1 mm when the urethane foam layer 2 is compressed to a depth of 2 mm from its surface and stress F<SB>1</SB>at a depth of 1 mm from the surface of the urethane foam layer 2 after the urethane foam layer 2 is compressed to a depth of 2 mm, which are measured under such conditions as a temperature of 23±3°C and a humidity of 50±3%, satisfy a relationship expressed by the inequality (1).
