PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, in an optical device, a technique capable of improving sound quality in reproduction by reducing operation sound when driving an objective lens, and inhibiting the sound from intruding into a recording microphone. SOLUTION: As a construction of an optical pickup, a magnet fixing member 107 for fixing a magnet 106 for applying a magnetic field to a tracking coil 105 and a focus coil 104 is supported at one end at a position deviated from the optical axis of the objective lens 102 via an elastic member 113. Also, either or both of the upper cover 119 and the lower cover for protecting the inside of the optical pickup are provided with an opening 120 capable of inhibiting, by the opening, the operation sound from resonating when driving the objective lens.
