PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swirl combustor capable of positively avoiding a burn even when air becomes short. SOLUTION: A lean mixture from a supply passage 31 arranged so as to surround a lower part outer periphery of a cylindrical body 2 is jetted in a swirl direction to an annular gap 5 partitioned by an outer circumferential face of an inner circumferential wall 4, and it is jetted from a flame hole 33 into a combustion space 7 in a state of a swirl. Rich flame is formed by supplying a rich mixture to a rich flame hole 62 arranged in an inner circumferential side of the inner circumferential wall. By this, swirling flame F is formed by not jetting the lean mixture directly into the combustion space but by precedently forming a swirl in the annular gap and jetting it into the combustion space from the flame hole, and a base part of the swirling flame is prevented from scorching an inclined blade even when air quantity of the lean mixture becomes insufficient.
