PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas hotplate with improved temperature detecting performance preventing a temperature rise of a temperature sensor of an opposed flame burner. SOLUTION: By flaring at least a lower part 21 of upper and lower parts of a heat shielding cylinder 21 surrounding the temperature sensor 20, and fairing inflow of air for cooling the temperature sensor 20, the temperature rise of the temperature sensor 20 is prevented, and the temperature detecting performance is improved.
