PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control engine torque to target torque, and to improve control efficiency. SOLUTION: An accelerator opening is converted to basic requirement torque through conversion to a throttle opening area and intake air quantity (B1 to B3), a larger one between the basic requirement torque and requirement torque for fixed speed travel control is selected (B4), and the selected requirement torque is equalized in order to prevent rattled vibration (B5), and then a throttle opening area for securing idle rotation is added to the throttle opening area converted again to set the opening area equivalent to actual torque (B7 to B9). After the total opening area is converted to the intake air quantity and the actual torque (B10 and 11), the torque is restricted to be protection torque for protecting a driving system or less (B12), the torque is reduced and corrected by traction control and lateral slipping preventing control (B13), the torque is again converted to the intake air quantity and the throttle opening area (B14 and 15), and then a lower limit is processed so as to secure the throttle opening area for securing the idle rotation or more, and after that, conversion to a throttle valve opening TVO is performed (B16 and 17).
