PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of surely preventing connection defects. SOLUTION: A main body side terminal electrically connected to a secondary battery 35 is provided on a main body case 2. At the time of attaching and detaching the main body side terminal to/from the stand side terminal of a charging stand, discharge air from a motor 15 is blown from a discharged air blowing port 22 to the stand side terminal by a control means. Dust or the like stuck to the stand side terminal is blown away and the connection failure of the main body side terminal and the stand side terminal are prevented. The charging failure of the secondary battery 35 by the connection defect and damages by the short-circuiting of the charging circuit of the charging stand are prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
