PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rooftop-greening system keeping a beautiful sight by preventing staining of a rooftop surface, preventing root rot of a plant and drying of soil, and achieving maintenance free by simplifying watering on a rooftop-greening planter; and to provide the rooftop-greening planter. SOLUTION: The rooftop-greening system comprises a rooftop-greening planter 2, feed water pipes 3 inserted into through holes for the feed water pipes of the rooftop-greening planter 2, and a water-feeding device 4 connected through a valve 5 to the water-feeding pipes 3. The rooftop-greening planter 2 is obtained by arranging a stored water part having a capillary water-absorbing structure extended from the soil layer and formed in the interior of a container having the bottom, laying a water-permeable porous member keeping spaces between the upper part of a container and the bottom part in the bottom part of the container opened upward and having the bottom, accumulating a soil layer in the upper face space, arranging draining holes for forming the spaces at a prescribed interval between the bottom face of the soil layer and the bottom at the side part of the container having the bottom, and forming through holes for feed water pipes.
