PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hook rest for Dozuki terminal tackle (a terminal tackle provided with a sinker at the lowermost end and branch leaders attached to a main line) composed of a new structure preventing the Dozuki terminal tackle from entangling during boat fishing and improving operating efficiency in attaching baits and handleability of branch leaders on a boat and to provide a rod holder of a new structure provided with the hook rest attached thereto. SOLUTION: A hook rest 6 for the Dozuki terminal tackle is obtained by protrusively installing a rise part 8 for placing branch leaders across the ridge in a long side edge on the inside of the boat of a substrate part 71, placing magnetic material parts 9, 9... for temporarily tacking hooks on a long side edge on the outside of the boat, providing a hook rest body 7 and assembling a temporary fixing mechanism 3 for mounting, demounting and fixing to the side of the boat in a suitable place.
