The drying device (1) has two electrodes forming a cross-section to the direction of motion of the agricultural product on a hopper. The resistance of the product is measured to determine its moisture content. The moisture content value is used to control parameters of the drying device, such as fan speed, temperature of supplied air, or output rate of the dryer.
