PURPOSE: Provided is a reagent for discriminating fiber materials to accomplish the discrimination at ambient temperature for 50 minutes or less without requiring an experienced tester or using a separate equipment. CONSTITUTION: A reagent for discriminating fiber materials comprises 100wt.% of dispersion dye, 3.3-225wt.% of direct dye, 3.3-225wt.% of acid dye, and 3.3-225wt.% of cation dye. The dispersion dye is selected from 27(C.I.Disperse Blue 27), and 106(C.I.Disperse Blue 106). The direct dye is selected from 80(C.I.Direct Red 80), 81(C.I.Direct Red 81), and 227(C.I.Direct Red 227). The acid dye is 81(C.I.Acid Green 81), and the cation dye is 28(C.I.Basic Yellow 28). The reagent is dissolved in a mixture of an alcohol-based organic solvent and water, and the target fibrous materials are dipped therein to test the colored.
