<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater capable of heating with high ability in singly reheating operation, and reducing labor and running cost for user to neutralize recovered condensation from a latent heat recovering heat exchanger. <P>SOLUTION: In singly reheating operation, a first valve 28 is closed, with a third valve 65 opened, so supply water goes from a supply water tube 22 through a bypass passage 24 to be sent through a hot water supply heat receiving pipe 21 in the reverse direction to normal to be discharged from a discharge pipe 64 to a drain tank 62. Boiling in the hot water supply heat receiving pipe 21 is thus prevented. The singly reheating operation is thus enabled as a burner 12 is burned at high ability. Since water sent in the reverse direction is used for diluting condensation water recovered from the latent heat recovering heat exchanger 16, supply of neutralizer is not necessary. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
