<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate correction of density unevenness generated along an axial direction of a photoreceptor drum. <P>SOLUTION: At a printing server, selection of a manual mode for carrying out correction visually, or an auto mode for carrying out correction using a densitometer is requested at the time of carrying out the density unevenness correction. By the selection of the manual mode, a reference sheet and a target sheet are printed out, and the result of a visual comparison between the target sheet and the reference sheet is inputted (steps 100-106). When the auto mode is selected, a correction value is read by the densitometer from the printed out target sheet, and a correction parameter when the density correction is carried out by a printer at the time of printing out is set by the read correction value (steps 108-116). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
