<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting body for a lithographic printing plate used for the original plate of the lithographic printing plate, of which printing durability and fouling resistance become excellent when being made into a lithographic printing plate, and also, by which inking on a solid part is hard to occur when a coated reproduced paper is used. <P>SOLUTION: The surface area ratio ΔS<SP>50</SP>obtained by a following equation (1) with an actual area S<SB>x</SB><SP>50</SP>obtained by the approximation three-point method from three-dimensional data obtained by measuring (50μm)<SP>2</SP>of the surface at 512x512 points by using an atomic force microscope, and a geometrically measured area S<SB>O</SB><SP>50</SP>is 30 to 60%. Also, the steepness a45<SP>50(0.2-2)</SP>which is an area ratio of a part with an inclination of 45° or higher in data obtained by extracting components from a wavelength 0.2μm to 2 μm from the three-dimensional data is 5 to 40% for this supporting body for a lithographic printing plate.
