<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet a customer's request to increase a rated capacity in a collective housing or the like without applying a change to equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The current of a main line 5 is measured by a load monitoring and control device 1, and the result of measurement is compared with the rated capacity of a circuit breaker 3 for main line protection. If the result of measurement is lower than the rated capacity of the circuit breaker, the information is transmitted to a customer's home panel 2 through a communicating means 1a so that the rated capacity of the circuit breaker can be enhanced at the home panel. If the current of the main line is close to the rated capacity of the circuit breaker, the information is transmitted. Then, the capacity of the circuit breaker is controlled to the rated capacity at the home panel.
