<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for suppressing corrosion by a corrosive substance or electrolytic corrosion by migration of a metallic electroconductive part of an electric/electronic apparatus (for example, an electrode and an electric circuit on a circuit board formed of silver, copper, aluminum or an alloy thereof) exposed to the corrosive substance (for example, sulfur and a sulfur-containing compound) or moisture. <P>SOLUTION: This method for protecting the metallic electroconductive part of the electric/electronic apparatus comprises applying a room-temperature curable silicone rubber composition containing 1 ppm to 30 wt.% of benzotriazole or a derivative thereof to the metallic electroconductive part of the electric/electronic apparatus exposed to the corrosive substance or moisture and subsequently curing the composition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
