PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anchor which gives increased surface contact between a shank and a wall of a hole in a comparatively simple manner without an excessive manufacturing cost or the other incidental costs, and without a necessity of skill for practically using the anchor, which imparts increased surface contact by elastic deformation of the anchor when the shank is driven into the hole. SOLUTION: The anchor 10 for masonry 18 is adapted to be driven into the hole 19 which is formed in the masonry 18 in a direction substantially perpendicular to the surface of the masonry 18.
