PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase of a load of a carriage driving motor when a plurality of recording heads are cleaned by wiping by means of a wiper utilizing movement of a carriage, thereby reducing the necessary driving force of the carriage driving motor. SOLUTION: The plurality of wipers 84a, 84b for cleaning and wiping ink ejection sections by rubbing the ink ejection sections of the recording heads 300 by utilizing the movement of the carriage 64 are provided to this recorder.
