The electronic control system (4) for the two motors (M1,M2) has three half-bridges (HB1,HB2,HB3) in parallel between positive and negative wires. The potential difference (U B) between the positive and negative wires is the normal vehicle battery voltage. There are three switches (S1,S2,S3) on the positive side of the motor connections between adjacent pairs of bridges and three switches (S4,S4,S6) on the negative side.
