PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera video image processing system by eliminating the need for an interlace conversion circuit for an imaging camera side so as to attain downsizing and cost reduction. SOLUTION: In the case of encoding a video signal with a non-interlace format sequentially given from an imaging sensor 22 to an encode circuit 23 and transmitting the coded signal to a video image reproducing apparatus, as the transmission signal in this case, only the arrangement sequence of each of line data of a composite signal of the NTSC system with the interlace format is made the same as that of the non-interlace format from the imaging sensor 22 without revising an incidence timing of a vertical synchronizing signal and a length and an incidence timing of a blanking period. Thus, the need for a frame buffer and an interlace conversion circuit is eliminated unlike prior arts, and downsizing and cost reduction is attained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
