PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact suction air cooling/silencing device of a supercharger which can silence and cool the suction air so that the influence on the creep strength is suppressed to thereby elongate the lifespan of a compressor impeller. SOLUTION: The suction air cooling/silencing device comprises a silencer body 24 provided in an air intake port 23 of the supercharger 21, and a filter 26 arranged in an air inlet 25 of the silencer body 24 so as to prevent invasion of foreign matters. The device also comprises a heat pipe 27 having an evaporating portion 27a located at the filter 26 and a condensation portion 27b located in a cooling medium passage 28. The device further comprises a cooling medium supply means 29 which supplies a cooling medium to the cooling medium passage 28. By utilizing the filter 26 of the suction air silencer as a heat transfer surface so as to perform cooling by means of the cooling medium supplied to the cooling medium passage 28 via the heat pipe 27 attached to the filter 26, it is possible to make the device compact, to silence and cool the suction air at the portion of the silencer, and to suppress the influence on the creep strength, thereby elongating the lifespan of the compressor impeller.
