PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing regulator having a mechanism for preventing both rotors from being carelessly reengaged during relatively rotating after the rotors are unlocked. SOLUTION: A radially slidable lock pin 51 of the valve timing regulator 1 is arranged in a lock pin containing hole 50 at a first rotor 10 side. A slider (closing member) 58 slidable along the axial direction of a slider containing hole 55 is arranged in the hole 55 of the rotor 30 side as the second rotor, and a bush 59 is press injected to a position near an outer peripheral surface 30f of the rotor 30 of the hole 55. An engaging hole 59a passing along the axial direction of the bush 59 and for allowing the pin 51 to be engaged is formed. The slider 58 hydraulically slides to push out the pin 51 engaged within the hole 59a and to close the hole 59a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
