PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft ground improving device capable of improving the ground more efficiently by draining water from the improved ground through a path different from a propagation path of vacuum pressure, to transmit vacuum pressure in the improved ground to every corner in the improved ground. SOLUTION: Both the horizontal draining material 12 and water collecting pipe 13 constituting the propagation path of vacuum pressure have propagation structure of propagating vacuum pressure from a vacuum pump 15, and drainage structure of draining pore water sucked from the improved ground A in association with loading of vacuum pressure. A drain tank 16 is disposed on the lower side of the water collecting pipe 13, and the pore water sucked from the improved ground A in association with the propagation of vacuum pressure is drained to the drain tank 16 through the drainage structure of the horizontal draining material 12 and water collecting pipe 13. The pore water in the waste water tank 16 is drained to the outside of the improved ground A (to the outside of a yard) through a drain pipe 20 connected to the drain tank 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
