The engine has a housing (1) with cylindrical bore, a cylinder with sector-shaped apertures, and an eccentric drive element connected to a slide part. All functional processes, e.g. work, compression, intake, and exhaust take place completely and separate from each other during a complete revolution through 360degrees, of the drive element (3), resp. the slide part (4) and the cylinder (2). Intake and compression occur in one chamber (r) only, while the other chamber (l) is for work, charging, ignition, combustion, expansion, and exhaust only. During a revolution of the working element from 0degrees to 180degrees, a first stroke of work and compression takes place, during further revolution from 180degrees to 360degrees, a second stroke of intake and exhaust takes place. The control channels are not connected to each other.
