<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that when a filter is replaced, fitting of the filter is incorrect and a filter of a wrong type is fitted. <P>SOLUTION: A method for controlling a filtration apparatus comprises the steps of: providing a replaceable filter having an electronic label with a storage device; providing a filtration apparatus provided with a reading means permitting the transmission of data from the electronic label and, subsequently, fitting the replaceable filter into the electronic device; transmitting the data from the storage device to the filtration apparatus; controlling the operation of the filtration apparatus in accordance with the transmitted data; and retaining the data in the storage device and, subsequently, removing the replaceable filter from the filtration apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
