<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pattern synchronization pull-in device and method for conducting synchronization detection and accurately counting bit errors, even if there are many errors in received data. <P>SOLUTION: A PRBS (Pseudo Random Bit Sequence) pattern pull-in circuit comprises a plurality of PRBS pattern generating circuits 8-11, a comparison circuit 12, and a synchronization detecting circuit 13. The PRBS pattern generating circuits 8-11 input partial data taken out from received data at a position different from each other, and generate pattern data based on the partial data. The comparison circuit 12 acquires a plurality of pattern data generated by the PRBS pattern generating circuits 8-11 and inputs the received data, and compares each of the plurality of pattern data with the received data. The synchronization detecting circuit 13 inputs the result of the comparison made by the comparison circuit 12, and detects the pattern data synchronized to the received data using the comparison result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
