PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce degradation of a demodulated symbol due to multipath. SOLUTION: A null symbol is transmitted in the first time slot of a transmission frame, a reference symbol is transmitted in the second time slot, a reference symbol is transmitted in the third time slot, and information symbols are transmitted in the forth time slot and later time slots. A guard period is equivalently extended by continuing waveforms of two adjacent reference symbols and an effect of inter-symbol interference due to multipath is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
