PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of ultrasonic irradiation by reducing side lobe of ultrasonic waves in irradiation of strong ultrasonic waves. SOLUTION: A designated conversion element is selected from conversion elements of a ultrasonic wave generating part 21 by a conversion element select part 12 and connected in common to form an annular array type conversion element group. In driving each of the conversion element groups by a conversion element driving part 13 to apply a focused ultrasonic wave to a plurality of positions of a subject 1, the bore diameter and the array interval are set based on the irradiation distance.
