PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for producing a metal powder, whereby the particle size is easily controlled. SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with a housing for dropping or forcibly transferring a metal salt solution and a reducing agent and an agitation member installed in the housing (a first method) or a static mixer installed in the housing as an agitation device for mixing and agitating the metal salt solution and the reducing agent (a second method); otherwise, the apparatus is equipped with a first and a second pipe as a housing, wherein the second pipe has, on its surface, openings for mixing and agitating (a third method).
