PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material and a manufacturing method for a lightweight recyclable model for a prosthetic brace, which enhance cutting workability and decrease water absorption. SOLUTION: The material for the model for the prosthetic brace, which is in a powdered state at ordinary temperatures, includes 100 pts.wt.α-hemihydrate gypsum, 0.001-1 pts.wt. of a foaming agent, and 0.001-1 pts.wt. of a foam stabilizer. The manufacturing method for the model for the prosthetic brace includes a step for preparing foamed slurry of the material by mixing the material for the model for the prosthetic brace with 40-70 pts.wt. water and a step for curing the foamed slurry of the material for the model for the prosthetic brace in a mold.
