A control device for an automatic machine has a breaker (22) connected to a power source (21) and a drive device (32) for supplying electric power to a drive portion (35) of the automatic machine through a relay device (31) connected to the breaker (22), and the control device controls the drive device (32). The control device also has a current control rectifier element (33) connected to the relay device (31) and a current controller (29) for controlling current to the current control rectifier element (33) after the relay device (31) is closed at the time when the power to a drive portion (35) is on.
