A process for the production and processing of polymerizable compounds comprises treatment of the interfaces in the equipment with at least one polymerization inhibitor prior to construction. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a polymerization inhibiting paste (I) comprising at least one insoluble paste and at least one polymerization inhibitor; (2) a flange connector treated with the paste (I) and; (3) a seal containing a polymerization inhibitor.
