PURPOSE: A method for fabricating an optical fiber ribbon having plural sub sets connected to each other by a link matrix, and an optical fiber ribbon fabricated thereby are provided to reduce a fabrication period and cost by improving a fabrication process. CONSTITUTION: Optical fibers of an arbitrary group are arrayed on the same plane by arraying optical fibers(1,1 ) of N groups. First layers are applied to each group of the optical fibers in order to form a first casing. At this time, each of the first layers is formed with a first liquefied resin which is set by an UV type irradiation method. A first irradiation process is performed on the first layers in order to form a first matrix. Second layers(4') are applied to each group of the optical fibers in order to be connected to the first layers. A second irradiation process is performed on the second layers in order to form a second matrix.
