Mechanical-welded structure comprises a first flat and thin metal element (10), extending in a plane and delimited on one side by a straight edge (15), and a second metal element (20) welded on the straight edge of the first element, or on an intermediary element (25) integral with the straight edge and interposed between the first and second elements. The second element exerts in at least one point (151) of the straight edge an effort decomposing into at least one component extending in the said plane perpendicular to the straight edge. The first element includes a relaxation slot (12) extending parallel to the straight edge and situated opposite the point on which the effort is exerted.
