The invented basket-like beehive has the form of a cylinder and is composed of 10 moving differently dimensioned frames assembled with two backs- the one back bearing the entry- and tightened, all together, with two coupling rods. The moving framesand backs constitute the body of the beehive. The extension- increase of the beehive is achieved by rectangular 26x3, 5x50 dimensioned frames added to both beehive backs. The beehive extension frames, when assembled by same technique, form a rectangular beehive. The herein described beehive conserves its thermodynamic properties and preserves the thermal homeostasis of the bee swarm and all resulting beneficial effects (fast and better development, good protection during winter time, increase of production etc.). It is a novel beehive where the living conditions of bees are comparable to those offered by a natural environment. |
