A washing and disposal apparatus for use with a towel dispenser (20), the washing and disposal apparatus comprising: a wash station (12) including a liquid dispenser (28) that dispenses liquid for washing; and a waste disposal unit (22) including a blender (43), said blender including a base having a rotor/blade (44), a blender cup (45), and an exhaust port (46) defined by a side wall of the blender cup and located above the rotor/blade, said blender cup being arranged in fluid communication (42) with the wash station and collecting liquid and a spent towel from said wash station through said fluid communication, rotation of the rotor/blade disintegrating the spent towel and generating a fluid vortex of liquid and disintegrated spent towel in the blender cup, the fluid vortex of liquid and disintegrated spent towel being exhausted through the exhaust port. |
