The system isolator comprises a casing (1) to accommodate a back flow blocker (8,9) on the inlet and outlet sides respectively on a common axis, and a drain valve connected to a center chamber (11) between the back flow blockers. The drain valve is formed by a stepped piston (2) which is sealed in relation to the inner wall of the casing. An annular chamber (6) between the stepped piston and the inner wall of the casing is connected to the center chamber via a bore (3) in the stepped piston.
