The arrangement has at least two compensation circuits (K1-Kn) for at least two reception lines, at least four branches (W1-Wn) and a switching arrangement (S1), whereby the branches are configured to carry out 2-wire to 4-wire conversions for separating transmission and reception lines and the switching arrangement is configured together with the compensation circuits to select specific compensation signals for individual reception lines. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a method of compensating cross-talk in a bundle of two-wire cables via which at least two different services are transmitted.
