The transport system for roving bobbins, at least at one ring spinner (2) and roving frame (1), is a recirculating overhead creel conveyor (13) for suspended full and empty bobbins. The bobbin suspensions are at a creel train (14), with a length only slightly shorter than the creel path, and with a friction wheel drive (12) against the conveyor rail for constant recirculation. A control (6) operates the direction change points according to the monitor (16), to adjust their settings for the creel conveyor, the recirculating loading conveyor (15), the loading station (4) and the friction wheel drives at both conveyor circuits according to the count of full/empty bobbins.
