The ratchet wheel (21) has a clutch body (22) and friction ring (23). During gear-change, the clutch body is connected to a slide-sleeve. A conical friction surface (28) of the friction ring cooperates during synchronisation with a synchronous ring. The cast ratchet wheel, the precision blanked clutch body and the deep-drawn friction ring are prefabricated separate components connected to form one component (20) and can be made of different materials. One side of the ratchet wheel has an axial protuberance (24) next to a radially extending shoulder (25) for centering and securing the axial protuberance for the clutch body.
