PURPOSE: A method is provided to prevent micro tips from being oxidized by lowering temperatures around micro tips during sealing of cathode plate and anode plate. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step of preparing a front substrate(21) on which an anode(22) and phosphor films(23R,23G,23B) are formed; a step of preparing a rear substrate(11) on which a cathode(12), an insulating layer(13), a gate(14), and a micro tip(15) are formed; a step of applying glass powder into a sealing area between the front substrate and the rear substrate; a step of sealing the front substrate and the rear substrate by heating the glass powder; and a step of permitting a cooling device(3) to tightly contact the bottom surface of the rear substrate and supplying water coolant to an inlet port such that the water coolant circulates along the water channel formed by a water forming guide.
