PURPOSE: A device for receiving a radio information service of a mobile phone, and a method thereof are provided to efficiently use a broadcasting band by providing various information to the broadcasting band, and easily search for information. CONSTITUTION: A memory(60) stores an information service menu for a plurality of broadcasting frequencies. A filter part(70) receives the broadcasting frequencies received through an antenna for filtering the broadcasting frequencies, and outputs a plurality of broadcasting channel frequencies. A switching part(20) selects one of the broadcasting channel frequencies for outputting a specific broadcasting channel frequency. A control unit(10) controls the switching part for selecting the specific broadcasting channel frequency. A demodulator(30) demodulates the specific broadcasting channel frequency into specific information data and outputs the specific information data. A display unit(50) displays the demodulated information data.
