摘要 PURPOSE: Provided is a method for producing a cathode active material for a secondary battery, which permits a homogeneous and prompt reaction among raw material powders for the cathode active material in a crucible, and ensures a desired chemical compositional ratio with ease. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing a cathode active material for a secondary battery comprises the steps of: mixing raw material powders for the cathode active material; and heat treating the mixed raw material powders in a crucible(201) disposed in a heat treating furnace(202) at a predetermined temperature. In the method, the mixing step is performed in the heat treating furnace(202). The raw material powders are forced to be mixed continuously by using an agitator(204) rotated by an agitator rotating member(205), upon the reaction of the mixed raw material powders. Additionally, the pressure inside of the crucible(201) is maintained at a predetermined value by using a pressure controller(206).
