摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct stabilized flying thickness change by changing a roll speed of each upstream stand including a (n-1) stand at a timing a thickness change point reaches a (n)th stand and changing a succeeding material to a target thickness with a reduced number of stands. SOLUTION: A speed change quantity arithmetic part 31 uses an outlet thickness change quantity of a fifth stand computed with a thickness change quantity arithmetic part 30 and computes a roll speed change quantity and then each roll speed change quantity from a third stand up to a first stand. At a timing a thickness change point reaches the fifth stand, each speed change quantity from a fourth stand up to the first stand is added to each speed controller 15-12. A roll speed change quantity is added to a roll speed reference of each stand to change each roll speed from the first stand to the fourth stand in synchronizing. By this method, a roll speed ratio only between the fourth stand and the fifth stand is changed, an outlet thickness of the fifth stand is changed to a prescribed value.</p>
