PURPOSE: A payment intermediation method and its corresponding payment processing terminal are provided to pay a small amount of money as well as a large amount of money while preventing purchaser information leakage. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises several steps. A purchaser pushes ARS/CTI unit access numbers on a keypad of a mobile phone, and then the mobile phone accesses the ARS/CTI unit and a payment processing terminal accesses the ARS/CTI unit(100). The ARS/CTI unit detects the number of a caller, checks a credit state of the caller by referring to a subscriber management database of a mobile communication network and a payment management database(102). If the credit state of the caller is positive, the ARS/CTI unit transmits a connection acknowledgement signal to the payment processing terminal(104). A controller of the payment processing terminal transmits a business ID code to the ARS/CTI unit(106), and then the ARS/CTI unit requests the payment processing terminal to transmit a payment amount(108). The controller displays or sounds an input request of the payment amount, and then the caller inputs the payment amount, pushes a data transmission button, and the input payment amount data is transmitted to the ARS/CTI unit(110, 112). The unit offers the payment amount data to a payment server, and the payment server stores the payment amount data with a phone number at a database(114). If the payment server transmits a payment completion signal to the ARS/CTI unit, and the ARS/CTI unit transmits the payment completion signal to the payment processing terminal(116).
