PURPOSE: A control panel assembly of an electric home appliance and a method for fabricating the same are provided to reduce the number of components by simplifying a structure of the control panel assembly. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of button holes(32) are formed on a control panel(30). A plurality of switches(42) and a plurality of LEDs(43) are installed in the inside of the control panel(30) of a substrate(40). An elastic button(52) is installed on a predetermined position of a button frame(50) corresponding to the switches(42). A supporter(54) is installed on a predetermined position of the button frame(50) corresponding to the LEDs(43). An external film(60) is adhered on an entire surface of the control panel(30). A button(62) is formed on the external film(60). The button(62) corresponds to the elastic button(52) of the button frame(50). A display portion(64) is formed on the external film(60).
