PURPOSE: A device for modulating a display speed of TV is provided to properly synthesize main screen signals with outer signals, and to carry out a speed modulation operation and a reproduction operation in accordance with frequency features, thereby preventing a reproduction screen from being distorted regardless of an inputted outer color signal. CONSTITUTION: A color signal selector(21) selects one of outer color signals according to a set priority. A converter(24) converts an output of the selector(21) into a luminous signal. The first multiplexer(25) multiplexes the luminous signal and a main screen luminous signal. A differentiator(26) differentiates output signals of the multiplexer(25). A smoother(27) smooths certain one of the output signals of the differentiator(26). A switching unit(30) selects one of the output signals of the differentiator(26) and the smoother(27). An amplifier(31) amplifies the output signal of the switching unit(30), and applies the amplified signal to a speed modulating coil(35). The second multiplexer(32) converts the main screen signal into a color signal, and multiplexes a main screen color signal and an outer color signal. A color signal amplifier(33) amplifies the output signals of the multiplexer(32), and applies the amplified signals to a color picture tube(34).
