PURPOSE: An under shoot learning control method in the lift foot up shift of an automatic transmission for a vehicle is provided to pressurize the hydraulic pressure for the next shift having same conditions by deciding the degree of under shoot in completing the lift foot up shift, to decompress the constant hydraulic pressure if the under shoot doesn't exist at all, and accordingly to secure optimal shift quality by keeping a little under shoot all the time. CONSTITUTION: An under shoot learning control method in the lift foot up shift of an automatic transmission for a vehicle is composed of steps for deciding if up shift in a power-off state(S100); deciding if the shift is completed(S110); detecting maximum under shoot amount after a shift completing point(S120); deciding correction amount for the detected under shoot amount(S130); and returning the step after computing the accumulated learning amount(S140). The accumulated learning amount is set by adding the hydraulic pressure before corrected to the learning correction amount for one time.
