<p>Method and apparatus for loading a cassette tape which has a detectable end includes structure and steps for detecting the detectable end of the tape. Structure and steps are also provided for determining a specific point in the course of tape loading where the length of the tape drawn out of the cassette becomes shorter than the length of the tape capable of being drawn out of the cassette after the initiation of detecting the detectable end of the tape. Structure and steps are also provided for continuing the tape loading operation and stopping the tape end detection operation after the specific point on the tape is determined.</p> |
